The four Nevada-based RDSBC counties of Esmeralda, Lincoln, Nye and White Pine formed the Nevada Rural Brownfields Partnership (NRBP). The Partnership was awarded a $1,000,000 Brownfields 2013 Revolving Loan Fund Grant, with $502,811 dedicated to hazardous substances and $497,189 dedicated to petroleum. The Revolving Loan Fund intends to provide loans and subgrants to support cleanup activities at brownfields sites throughout the member counties. Cleanup oversight and community outreach activities are also supported through the funds. Inyo County, California was not included as it was already eligible for California Revolving Loan Fund dollars.
