Community Description & Overview
The Duckwater Reservation located in Railroad Valley in northern Nye County is home to the Duckwater Shoshone Tribe. The Duckwater Shoshone tribe joined the RDSBC under the 2017 Brownfields Assessment Grant. This webpage is under development, so please check back.
Renewable Energy Factors
The RDSBC Duckwater Shoshone Reservation Nevada Renewable Energy Resources map (right) shows solar resources for Concentrating Solar Power (CSP) and Photovoltaic (PV), Conventional and Unconventional for Geothermal Potential, annual average Wind Resource at 50-meter height above ground surface, and transmission lines and substations for capacities 230 kV or greater.
